Project Overview:
Crews are continuing construction on Phase 1 of the Pyramid Highway Project from Queen Way to Golden View Drive. Pyramid Highway is being constructed as a high-access arterial and will be widened from four to six lanes from Queen Way to Los Altos Parkway. Improvements will include three travel lanes in each direction, bike lanes, curb and gutter, wide median, shoulder improvements and a barrier protected 10-foot shared use path on the east side of the road (Queen Way to Los Altos Parkway). Between Los Altos Parkway and Golden View Drive, four travel lanes will be maintained in addition to the other improvements mentioned above. Sound/screen walls will be installed in some locations and a protected sidewalk placed on the west side of the road. Use Caution - New Markings on Roadway:
In August, crews will begin paving new lanes. This week, crews painted paving layout lines to ensure asphalt joints are placed in the correct locations during paving. These lines align with the existing roadway striping, except for one short section in the southbound lanes of Pyramid Highway just north of Farr Lane. In this area, the paving lines move slightly away from the existing roadway striping, and then tie back in closer to Farr Lane. PLEASE FOLLOW EXISTING ROAD STRIPING and use extra caution in this area.
Construction Work:
This week, crews are working on demolition and the pouring of new sidewalks, curbs, and gutters on Pyramid Highway between Los Altos Parkway and just north of Golden View Drive.
Work is also ongoing on soundwalls and screenwalls north of Los Altos Parkway.

Crews are working in the center of the highway. Please watch your speed and use extra caution in and around the construction zone. Lives depend on it.
