Between Los Altos Parkway and Golden View Drive, Pyramid Highway will be resurfaced and the following improvements will be made: bike lanes, curb and gutter, raised median, drainage infrastructure, a 10-foot shared use path, landscaping and aesthetic features, and decorative sound/screen walls.

Continued: Nightly Southbound Pyramid Closure

The southbound lanes on Pyramid Highway between Disc Drive and Farr Lane will be closed each night Sunday, September 17 to Friday, September 22. Nightly closures will occur between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.

  • Southbound traffic will detour to Disc Drive to Sparks Boulevard, then to Baring Boulevard to McCarran Boulevard

  • Northbound Pyramid Highway will remain open but reduced to a single lane

New Traffic Signals

The existing traffic signals at Disc Drive, Los Altos Parkway and Golden View Drive will all be moved and replaced with new smart traffic signals. Smart traffic signals adapt traffic light controls based on information collected from sensors, edge devices, and video systems.

Drivers may have noticed crews installing one of the foundations for the new signal pole at Los Altos Parkway this week. The boom truck holds the existing traffic light for the safety of the public and crew during the process.
