Beginning early in the morning on Monday, May 20th, the inside lanes in each direction of Pyramid Highway between Queen Way and Los Altos Parkway will be closed for median work. Traffic will be shifted to the outside two lanes of the newly widened roadway. Two lanes of traffic will remain open in each direction. The new traffic pattern and median work will continue through this fall.
SAFETY NOTICE:
With crews beginning to work in the center of the highway, NDOT and Granite Construction are urging drivers to use extra caution while driving through the work zone and to obey the speed limit. Our crews' lives depend on it.
Shared-use Path Now Open to Public Between Queen Way and Los Altos Parkway
The newly constructed 10-foot-wide shared-use path is now open for pedestrians and cyclists to safely travel between Queen Way and Los Altos Parkway. The path is located on the east side of the highway and protected from vehicle traffic by permanent barrier rail.
SAFETY NOTICE:
Crews are still finalizing some minor work details adjacent to the shared-use path such as placing decorative rock and painting. Until the work items are completed, pedestrians and cyclists may encounter path detours around work operations or curing concrete, or be stopped by a flagger and safely escorted through. Work items adjacent to the shared-use path will be completed by May 24.
